- 3 - The general costs of the Reich and its special expenditures for the Protectorate have increased considerably since 1943 and continue to rise. I therefore finally set the matricular contribution for the calendar year 1944 to 12 500,000.000 K and for the year 1945 provisionally to 15 000,000.000K. Customs receipts and other amounts are credited to the Matricular Contribution l944 and to the Provisional Matriculation Contribution=in 1945 according to the same principles which I set out in my letter of 11 February 1942 - II/7 - 3120-2 - for the calendar year 1942. I ask you to pay a supplementary payment of 2 500,000.000 K to the portion of the matricular contribution which is expected to be raised in cash from 1944 to 28 February 1945. I ask to pay partial payments of 850,000.000 k per month from 1 January 1945 onwards on the matri= kular contribution l945. I reserve the right to fix the instalments in any other way if the development of the amount of customs duties and other eligible amounts makes this appropriate. I will, as before, settle at the end of each quarter= year the payments made by the Protectorate during this period on the matricular contribution or which must be credited to it. 3./To a copy of 2./: To the Minister of Finance of the Reich, Berlin W 8 Wilhelmplatz l/2.
