8aj 107-G-112G -4- on behalf of and with special support from Rome. He is still supported by the German spirituality in Prague, especially by the head of the German seminary, Professor Adolf K i n d e r m a n, born 8.8.1899 in Neu-Grafenwalde. In connection with the "Reichsbund für das katholischen Deutschtum im Ausland" he had tried to establish the foreign seminary in the monastery of St. Gabriel in Prague. The plan failed because the monastery could not be bought for financial reasons and the German theologians were without exception drafted for military service. Since only about three students remained in Prague, it was assumed that the theological faculty, as in Munich and other university cities, would be abolished. One was aware that a reopening of a once abolished faculty would not be possible again. In order to ensure the existence of the theological faculty under all circumstances and to promote the "Union's work", K i n d e r m a n accepted twenty-five Greek-Catholic theologians from the Order of Basilians into the German seminary. These Basilians came from Poland during the Poland-field approach and had for a short time been accepted by the Bishop of Olomouc. Their placement in the German seminary is to form the basis for the plans of the M i t n a c h t and of the K i n d e r m a n in relation to the Eastern Churches. Therefore, at present all the Basi een theological faculty in Praißerte itself that another sixteen Basilians ( :) would come to Prague to attend here.
