The Faculty of Philosophy of Prague has only one Romanist, whose field of work does not include south-eastern Europe. In the special care of south-east Europe at the local university, it is necessary that a Romanist can be won for Prague, who is particularly knowledgeable in the field of Balkan Romanticism. The importance of Romanianism in the present and future justifies the establishment of this chair also for practical political considerations. Extraordinary Chair for Indian Philology. Since the University of Prague became Reichsuniversity, applications for the expansion of Orientalism have been made time and again. However, the required economy has prompted the Faculty not to reapply the previously requested Orientalist professorships in full, but to confine itself to the chairs required in order not to let the University of Prague completely fall behind in this field. Knowledge of this is of particular importance for the future. The local Faculty of Arts and Humanities has a very good Indological Seminar Library, so that the best conditions for successful teaching and research are offered here. Extraordinary Chair for the Client of the Old Orient. The Chair of Indian Philology is referred to. At the closed Czech University this subject was represented by an internationally recognized scholar. The seminar he led is taken over by the German Karls University. It is in the interest of German science to announce the seminar under - a German professor on work and economics. Faculty of Natural Sciences. Extraordinary Chair of Meteorology This chair was already requested for the 194l budget and 1942 and its establishment was already envisaged for 1942. The faculty repeated the request for 1943. I believe it is necessary that the subject of meteorology at least be represented by an extraordinary professorship. According to the new Diploma Examination Order, geophysics, meteorology and oceanography at the University of Geneva are also subject to pre-tests and examinations.
