In order to bring all the departments involved in the labour force into line with the enormous tasks currently being carried out, all the presidents of the national employment offices, the Reichstreuhänder and special trustees of employment, as well as all the heads of the large German employment offices and the representatives of the caaa d neutral states and the occupied territories were appointed for the first time since the employment offices were established for the 10th time. In the course of the second half of the year, the Council of Ministers of the European Communities convened a two-day workshop in Weimar on 11 September and discussed all the technical tasks of the coming period in detailed papers by the best experts. The links between the activities of the employment offices and the overall tasks of the arms industry and the Eastern policy were highlighted by lectures by the Reich Minister Speer and Rosenberg and the State Secretary Koerner. A main task of the conference was to create the ideological-po litical prerequisites and foundations of a successful work of the labour administration. In a final address I was particularly concerned with the ideological management and supervision role of the thesis and the general and technical guidelines for the further work. With this meeting, which for the first time offered the possibility for a casual and comradely minded man of the employment service, the conditions for carrying out the further duties of the authorized officer-general for the work have now been met. 69425
