3 These figures show that the BMB's fuel requirements for the 1942/43 coal year must be ensured only if the newly built coke batteries in the Ostrava district are not put into operation. Since the Reichsstelle für Kohle, Berlin the Ostrau Syndicate has not yet dismissed from the BMB's obligation to supply the coal, the quantities of coal estimated for the coke batteries were therefore not taken into account for the month of April and, as before, were allocated to the BMß of the required requirements. However, should the coke batteries start, it is essential that the missing quantity should be replaced by other coalfields, if necessary by Upper Silesia and Karwin, i.e. Oberschlesien and Karvin would have to supply 599 752 tonnes of coal in the coal year 1942/43 in addition to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The failure of BMB fuels in the Rossitz coalfield could possibly be reduced by Ematz of corresponding labor forces. The failure of 3 000 tonnes in the Pilsner district could be brought in by monthly additional quantities from the protection areas for the total demand of Bmb coal of 1 492 852 tonnes. In order to be able to allocate in time for the month of May and the following months the quantities of fuel requested by the railways, it is necessary to decide in March-April whether the newly built coke batteries should run in the Ostrava district or not. If they were to start, the quantities of coal to be allocated to the coke batteries would have to be charged to the rest of the consumer groups, in particular to the domestic fire, to the supply of electricity.
