208 In the beer and malt industries, new voices are being voiced for the combination of the two economic groups of malt and brewing industries according to the model of the empire. In the mill industry, the action to achieve the prescribed application quotas in cereals is being continued. The elimination of rye, barley and oats is satisfactory, while in the case of wheat further delivery quantities would be necessary. The increase in wheat stocks serves the purpose of the declaration of the Minister of Agriculture of 8 March 194l No. 94 Coll., by which the so-called self-sufficiency ratio was reduced from l6 kg to l4 kg. It is hoped that this measure will bring more wheat to the market in the current marketing year than 2500 wagons. Further savings on wheat are achieved by the announcement of the Ministry of Agriculture of 6 March 1941 No. 56, according to which in the XXth supply period on a part of the bread menu instead of wheat flour Gerstenmehl is followed. A quota of 2864 wagons was released on feed for the months of March and April, while only 1608 wagons were released in January and Feber. This is due to the additional demand caused by the spring order. The food industry of the Protectorate was involved in a number of trade agreements of the Reich with Romania and Sweden. The local industry has not yet been satisfied in all parts with regard to the proportion of protectorate in imports of food and raw materials. The import of shveins from South Slavia has now begun vieder. The imports of herring from Norvegen continue within the limits of the quotas provided for.
