173 Transport and energy department. I._E_i_s e_n_b_a_h_n/e_n. 1. Operation. Also in February and in the first half of March there are operating disruptions. From February 5th - 8th the state of the railway operation was of course alarming because of the barrier of the nodes Böhm. Trübau and Brno. Since the beginning of this year, the Pilsner station has been closed at all and only on March 1st this year this station has again been released for traffic. Practically all railway lines are now free with us. As far as traffic with the other parts of the Reich is concerned, the majority of all the Directorates of the DR are closed for transport. As a result of this situation, the Transport Department has the following tasks: (a) it shall make available to the Ministry of Transport the transport notes of the individual member companies by means of a so-called inflow permit. As regards the transport permits over Pilsen, this work has been transferred over the last 8 days to the Pilsen Regional Group. (b) As regards transport with the rich, transport authorizations are provided for shipments which are exped by us. In the case of shipments going in the opposite direction, we intervene in the main cases with the relevant Directorates of the DR. 2. With the exception of the very rare days where the coverage of the requested wagons has reached 5o - 6o %, it can be said that on average the coverage has not exceeded 3o %. This applies to those shipments which belong to category D IV, i.e. which cannot be regarded as military, coal, fertilizer and food shipments. Civil shipments even only lo % of the necessary wagons. Due to this condition suffer most of the following industries: the furniture industry, production of agricultural machinery and the glass industry.
