- 2 - Complaints received to this day by the Department of Commerce have not created any remedy in this matter and has only limited itself to the fact that, because of its incorrect information, it sought to pass the guilt on to ourselves. The internal organization of our work takes its course. The Committee on Economic Advertising and Economic Enlightenment was set up, whose task is to provide advice on un-solicited work and to constantly confront our work with the needs of industry. Almost at the same time, work on the establishment of the AMA, which we mentioned above, was initiated. The final constitution depends on the decision of the Central Confederation of Industry and the Central Association of Commerce concerning the persons posted to the AMA, b. The Central Association for Crafts has already taken the decision in this regard. Of the smaller works of the department for advertising the following should be mentioned: with all industrial exhibitors at the model fair we carried out investigations about the results of their participation at the summer fair. The results are being processed. We have finished the hiking show of new textile materials in Bohemia. In Prague, Königgrätz, Burweis and Pilsen, this show has visited some 1 5 Ooo experts and students from specialized schools, of which more than 6 O0O in Prague. The work has been carried out with the participation of the central associations of industry, commerce and crafts, which are united in the Committee on New Materials, in which we are de facto leading. The same committee organizes the travelling exhibition of new materials, which ends its round trip through Moravia and moves to Bohemia. We carry out almost all the organization of the exhibition in the individual cities and the advertising through the press, the radio, through lectures and social transport, which is connected with the exhibition. The retail industry group has suggested that we organise one or two good advertisements and pay for a deficit. Since the exhibition should already be opened at l.Jänner l94l cr-, we have pointed out that there is not enough time left for the preparation and suggested that it be organized on a commercial basis - not as a mere educational show - in the framework of the Prague Model Fair, if the necessary space is found for this.
