Due to the strictest observance of all orders made by me and a close cooperation of the involved bodies, the epidemic - while at the same time improving the general state of health of the camps - has been brought to an end in a short time. The course of the diseases is shown in the accompanying diagram. A total of lo0 abdominal typhus and 93 typhoid stains were recorded in the camp. Eight gypsies died of tummy typhus, 7 gypsy and 2 watch organs. Since 26. 3. l943, the epidemic has expired. On 4 May 1943, about 500 gypos were transported to the Auschwitz concentration camp from the camp inmates, who have recently been disheartened and subjected to thorough quarantine. The remaining l5o camp inmates, so-called "white" persons, will soon be taken into preventive custody, and be released. The camp will then be abandoned and removed.
