This view of the intellectual authoritarianity and sovereignty, which starts from the "popularity and the "community-nation", then leads to the natural fol- lution - to totalism, which also led to the conception of the absolute state in fascism. The state is the tool of the Volkische, national community, which is sovereign. The state executes in all fields what the national community needs and requires. Right is what is good and beneficial for the national Community, for the people in the National Socialist view; and all that is unsuitable and sohadic to it is contrary to the law. The national community is the highest element of all life, of all activity, of every political struggle - the state is the simple completer of the will of the national community and in this resolution it includes all social activity, all areas of spiritual and material life, all cultural, political, social and economic functions. In this respect, the individual is wholly subordinated to the national collective, flowing together with the "people's community" and with regard to the state, it has a value and a right not as an indi viduum, but only as an integral part of the collective.
