217.) Controversial social organisms, coteries and cliques form, which boycott themselves in the artistic, scientific, economic field; they boycott each other in social life. One Birger looks at the other only shyly and assesses him only from the point of view of his partiality. Small, superfluous and personal struggles are being called out, which are exhausting all the participants over the masses, and so absolutely nitty-heartedly is being wasted much social and national energy. In such a milieu, men can usually prevail in two ways; on the one hand, gross, ruthless people, selfish adventurers, profit hunters, demagogues, people who are not picky in their means, coarsely, dulled against all attacks and prepared for everything; cynics whose own and foreign honor is nothing, or people of power, praise the political or economic power, or, on the other hand, first brave and honest people of unusually strong character, strong educated personalities and idealists, excites the demokrati sohen ideals, who well understand why all these shortcomings of the party system are standing, and know all the Sohmtz, who necessarily on the ground or at the periphery of the democratic political societies. And as idealists, they believe that the improvement of every society is only possible through the dauemden struggle of the good against the sole-stitches, and that the moral strength is enough to endure in the struggle despite all difficulties and personal sufferings.
