Thus, the democratic politicians stand as knowledgeers, artists and philosophers at the crossroads of time and seek paths in the future. He must see not only through information and analysis of the contemporary situation, but also through intuition and knowledge based on the knowledge of all the problems of public life, what - since he should always have a political goal defined in the thrust of history ahilosophy and morality in mind - his instantaneous and what his ultimate goal is.• Through his political knowledge and skills he should recognize and grasp how far, in what rupture and at what price he lost to the or that state of things in that or that moment the future form. or, in other words, he must be able to recognize what is in the given moment and in the present moment.
