To Prague, 25 January 194o. 1.) V e r m er k . I was accompanied by Minister of Justice Krejči and asked for information on a personal matter. The Prime Minister wanted to give the Secretary of State as a personal gift a picture of Karlovy Vary made by a Czech painter. He (Krejčí) asked me for my well-meaning advice on whether the Secretary of State had received such a gift. I replied that the Secretary-General had given himself every present for his birthday.
