English Translation
146 - 4 - the group Post was still necessary after insurance of the group leader we- the intended. The dismissal of these officials, who had been sent to and presented to my authority, without any contact with me, is all the more disconcerting since the Reich Post Minister himself criticised the previous activities of the Post Group in his letter dated 13.6.1942 and had raised serious concerns about the security of the Reich. The seconded officials had been expressly referred to as specially skilled experts and were supposed to address the shortcomings so far complained of by the Reichspostminister. As you can see from this brief compilation, the Obergruppenführer Heydrich and I have tried everything that was possible, taking into account the special circumstances, in order to carry out the agreements with the Reichspostminister loyally and to arrange the supervision of the Reich over the postal and telecommunications system as intensively as possible. I will keep you informed of the further development of the matter. WA Heil Hitler! Jhr very devoted - Oberst-gruppenführer T and General Oberst der Polizei. 21818
