Prague, 21 August 1940. 1.) Note. Minister Krejči spoke to the State Secretary on 21.8.1940. Among other things, the following was discussed: 1. Statement of the Office of the Imperial Protector on NG. To this extent, the Secretary of State stated that he would shortly have a meeting with President Hácha, in which he would announce his statement on Ng. 2. The NG's newly appointed Committee was to be formed as a closer working committee, and the Committee should be given a kind of public service function on the basis that it would become a consultative body for the Directorate of the Protectorate and send a minister (without portfolio) from among its members to the government. The Secretary of State rejected this proposal on the grounds that the leader had only expressed his confidence to the President Hácha. Hákha, for his part, had been able to form the protectorate government on the basis of this confidence, thus closing the circle of bodies representing the Czech people. As a result, the approval of another Orga- nes would not be possible. 2.) G.R. '-Obersturmbannführer Böhme, to4 Prague
