10 Minister of State Defence Bratislava, January 28, 1945 ON ramt Elng.: - 6 FEB. 1945 Your Excellency! 0 Above all, I ask you to receive my cordial and sincere greetings. I remember, quite often today, those busy times that we spent together on the ground of the Prague Parliament and the valuable friendly services that your Excellency gave us in 1938 just by means of my person. Since then, much has changed and people have also changed in both Charskter and Porm. So var it also with us in Slovakia. After the death of our Pührer Andreas Hlinka, I got into the political backlash, not through my own eyesight. Slovakian national-conscious politics was always a matter of my personal uud völkischer honour for me and by applying this standard was for me d d d beatimmt. Because of this principle, I was pushed to Periphery and only after the well-known September when a number of opportunists and megalomens broke out of our public life, I took over in my capacity sl's new Minister of Defence of the unspeakable heritage of General Čatloš and of Interior Minister Mach the State Security, This burden I accepted as a satisfaction and obligation to help and my people and state in its most difficult and fateful times. This little reminiscence I have laid down as a modest personal insight, because at the recent presence of your Bxzellenz in Bratislava I was not allowed to speak with you personally and your SL.M.X18- 9/45
