On the initiative of the Department of Justice, I report on the Rothaler affair as follows: At the request of the Oberlandrat in Iglau, with my permission of 6 November l939, Rothalers acquired the company BOHEMIA, Strick-und Wirkwarenfabrik in Iglau at the price of K 525,000.- with the condition that this company is operated as a limited company on the basis of a submitted draft contract between Johann Christ, Andreas Döllner and Rothaller. Johann Christ and Andreas Döllner participate according to the submitted draft contract as commanders with an investment of each K 262,500.- thus with a total amount of K 525.O0o.-. Rothaler does not seem to have spent his own funds at the dejudgment and probably also not possessed. Dr. Jury, Dr. Rothaler and with him the two commanders have acquired the company at a very low purchase price. A review of the purchase price has not yet taken place. After Rothaler was sentenced to a prison sentence of 2 years and his wife to a sentence of 1 year for crimes under Section 1 of the War Economic Code for the acquisition of wool and woollen goods, the President-Reichsverwertungsverwaltungs-Brünnn took back the granted authorization in his own jurisdiction.
