IV/1 - Za/Ha. Prague, September 13, 1944. 1.) Note. Subject: Studies of the Vice-Chairman of the Flemish Cultural Council Prof. Dr. Anton Jacob on the "Ackermann" question at the National and University Library in Prague. Reference: Letter of the Captain Alfred Toepfer of 6.8.44. About the Ackermann from Bohemia there is a comprehensive literature (such as Knischek, Burdach, Berndt, Blaschka, Pirchan, Hübner, Truntz). Nevertheless, research is still far from complete, because the work is now being assessed from a new point of view. Since the Germanic content of ideas underlying the Ackermann is now very high, the work of a flame on this topic would probably lead to a new approach, exposed to the fact that he has already grasped the Akermann at all; because Ackerman's research provides a very greendlich philological, historical and philosophical knowledge and an individual knowledge of the country's history. At the moment, however, the sources required for a creative research should not be accessible to all; the material is not exclusively in Prague, but in many cities of the rest of the Reich. I am not aware of Captain Toepfer. Actually, it would have been expected that Prof. Dr.Jacob would approach the Minister of State via the competent Reich office. There is no reason to call on Prof. Jacob from the Minister of State for Ackermann Research.
