After my audition on 24.V. with you, my Gauleiter, the conditions in the reserve hospital Wlashim have developed in such a way that I see myself to give a short report about it. After at the request of the new chief physician, staff doctor Dr. Moser, who prepared a series of immediate dismissals by the head of personnel of the DAF headquarters in Berlin, Pg. Kunsdorf, was dismissed in the week after Pentecost two amputated sports instructors with the motivation that they as amputees, the one is undersimplet and the second is impoverished, but are not fully operational. The two men, who had lost their bones as non-commissioned officers in the war, were trained as auxiliary sports instructors in Vlaschim by the head of the sports department of the DAF, a certified sports teacher, and have so far provided their services to their satisfaction. However, a Czech assistant sports teacher could remain, another Czech was re-established on 1 June. As in the case of the juridical facts in some cases, I cannot at any rate go along with it when wounded people are thrown out of a military service and Czechs are hired for it. Furthermore, a number of workshops were closed as non-war important, which had been set up by the DAF with great costs. Of course, for example, ceramic painting is not necessarily war-related, but when you have seen what emotional uplift wounded people receive with a shot-out hand when they see that they, who perhaps had never had a brush in their hand before, can do something again with the crippled hand - apart from the fact that they had to carry out a sum of fine movements in time, which they would not otherwise have carried out - it is clear that there is a psychological war-importantity in it, so to speak. Apart from that, the measures already taken and still to be taken will completely undermine the meaning and character of the research institute.
