Deriprotector-members Arms workers Wenceslas B a n s e t , offered on 2.2.l9l5, suffered a work accident in a defence plant in Bremen-Vegesack in the year I942 by explosion of an incendiary bomb, by which consequences he came to an eye and shortly afterwards also lost the vision of the second eye. He is now completely blind and receives a pension of around RM 30.- monthly after the accident. Since this pension cannot be regarded as sufficient, my predecessor was already trying to enable him to operate a tobacco crime. As a result, at the order of the German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia, the Finance Directorate in Prague gave him a monthly share of RM 5O.- in a tobacco wear in German brod. In view of the strong rumors about the Czechs' employment in the Reich, I believe that, especially in rural areas such as Ledetsch, where such cases are soon widely known and discussed, RM 80 per month cannot be regarded as sufficient compensation for a complete blindness suffered in the use of arms and such a slight compensation is propagandistically bad. - 2 -
