20 November 1944. 96 pp.M. XI B-180 d/44 1./ To the Lord Oberlandrat - Inspector - in Bu d weis Subject: Venzel B a n s e t , Protectorate member, Swietla a.d.S. In your letter of 15 May 1944, you had suggested that Banset should receive a one-time or better-learning financial support from the Minister of State. During the negotiations, you suggested that the Banset be accommodated in a home and that the funds for this purpose be taken over here. In the course of the further surveys on the basis of an appropriate institution for accommodation, the Central Office for Blind Care reported: "The father of the blind man, Karl B a n s e t , was punished twelve times for fraud and embezzlement; he is a drinker. His wife takes care of him and is also temporarily employed in agriculture with a earnings of about 300 K per month. Wenzel B a n s e t receives as a silent participant in a tobacco crime in German Brod 5o0 K monthly. He quit the Klar's Blindenanstalt on 30 April; he no longer wants to return to the institution because he is married. Whether the blind person was used by his family as an object of gainful activity could not be determined. At present this does not happen, since he lives with his wife in his own household." With regard to the marriage of the Banset, the suggested accommodation in a home should leave and only your proposal for the granting of support should be considered. I would ask for your opinion whether there is still a one-off or ongoing support at Banset with regard to marriage, if necessary in --
