1.42 95 The Head of Division I Prague, 11 November 1944 I 1 b F 8170 inister Office To the 15 NOV. 1944 Minister's Office in the H a u s e . Subject: B a n s e t , Wenzel, Swietla a.d.Sasau; Accommodation in a Blind Home. Reference: My letter of 19.10.1944, No I 1b - F - 8170 on the local trade mark St.M. XI B - 180/44. With regard to the last paragraph of my letter, I am informed of the outcome of the discussion given to me by the Ministry of the Interior of the Central Office for the Care of the Blind about B a n s et: "The father of the blind, Karl B a N s e t, was punished twelve times by the courts for fraud and embezzlement; he is a drinker. In his hometown of Swietla a.d.Sasau he enjoys a bad reputation. He lives with his wife in the community house and has 8 children, two of whom have been punished by law; against one daughter there is a criminal case in progress. Wenzel B a n s e t lived with his parents earlier. He married the 30-year-old Anna Lexová on September 1, 1944 and rented an independent apartment in Swietla a.d.Sasau, Neustadt 4i8. His wife takes care of him and is employed in agriculture for about 300 K a month. Wenzel B a n s e t receives 5oo K monthly as a silent participant in a tobacco crime in German Brod. From the Klar's Blindenanstalt he left on 30 April 1944; he no longer wants to return to the institution because he is married. Whether the blind person was exploited by his family as an object of gainful activity could not be determined. At present this does not happen, since he lives with his wife in his own household." / 15/ 27.44 H bi L.R. Littie St. MxB -180 d/44
