9 2 The District Chief -Reichsauftragsverwaltung- für die Bezirks Gumpolds, December 2, 1944. Gumpolds u. Ledetsch a.d.S. Aktz: 11-9 To the Lord Oberlandrat Inspector of the German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia in B_u _d w_e_ i_s_. Subject: Wenzel' B a n s e t , Frotektoratsbearbeiter, Swietla a.s. Reference Decree of the H.German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia dated 20.11.1944, No. St.M.XI B-180 d/44. I report the following on the return of the aforementioned decree: The information about the father Banset is certainly relevant. However, it is always claimed that Wenzel Banset was the best of this family, while some of his brothers and sisters looked after his father. Anna Lexová, 30 years old, who now married Banset, brought her with him from the Clear Blind Institute, where she was employed as a servant. Banset has had his own apartment since his marriage. Thus, the suspicion that Banset is used by his father or his siblings, and that he is used as a poster for blackmail intentions, is quite excluded. I would also like to propose that B. be married and that he spends a good deal of his life, so that he should refrain from staying in a home, and I therefore consider it necessary for propagandistic reasons to give B. the appropriate support. In doing so, I would suggest giving preference to a lower ongoing support for a one-time higher support, since in the event of abuse or proof of unworthiness, support can be stopped without further delay, while a higher one-off support, for example, could cause excessive expenditures, with regard to the conditions of war. Schmidt.
