57 Minlste Abteilung Finanz Prag, 25. Mai 1944 Eingt 27. MAI 1944 VII/3 V 2200-292/44 Subject: Entry of the Judiciary Council Dr. Chr. S_c h r a-m-m, Munich to the Lord Reichsprotector in matters of confiscated property Th. Israel S a c h s . U r s c h i f t l i c h with 4 attachments H-Obergruppenführer Minister of State F r a n k submitted with the following report: The property of the Jew Th.Israel S a c h s, formerly resident in Augsburg, Hochfelderstr. 13, was confiscated by the secret state police, state police department Augsburg in June 194l in favour of the Reich. It was not until 1943 that it was established that the Jew had his residence in Augsburg but a second residence in Prague XII. The secret state police then confiscated the property of the Jew. The fall of the property was pronounced at the end of 1943. Before this date, the matter could not be dealt with by the wealth office. However, even after the declaration of revocation, the question remained open as to who was responsible for the settlement of the fee claim, since assets were located both in the rest of the Reich and in the Protectorate. The applicant has made it difficult to clarify the question of jurisdiction by his multiple submissions to the various departments (Reichswirtschaftsminister, Reichsfinanzminister, Oberfinanzpräsident Berlin, Oberfachpräsi-sident München, Kommandant der Sicherheitspolizei, die Beteiligungsstelle der Geheimen Staatspolizeis und das Vermögenamt). It was not until April 1944 that the Chief Finance Presidents of Munich and Berlin handed over the submissions of the Judicial Council of Schramm to the Vermögensamt on the grounds of their jurisdiction. In February 1944, however, the Vermögensamt had already examined the claim for the fee of the applicant and, after receipt of requested documents on 17 April 1944, thus before receipt of the entry to the Herr Reichsprotector, ordered the Amtskasse to pay the eligible fee claim to the applicant. I propose that the entry to the files be read. hhElve St.\1/-183/44
