In the afternoon in Berlin, the film "Die goldene Stadt" (The Golden City) was critically watched together with State Secretary Gutterer. ORR. von Wilucki initially doubted that it would be possible to create Veit Harlan and the other directors of the film in such a short time. In the evening, a meeting was held, because of which he had to leave the ministry early on. It was therefore agreed that we should propose an appointment in the afternoon at 6.00 a.m. When I said that Secretary of State Frank was only concerned with Veit Harlan's presence in the rest of the world, Wilucki said that State Secretary Gutterer, on the other hand, insisted that the other artistic designers of the film were also present. During a second telephone conversation, Wilucki announced that Secretary of State Gutterer was unfortunately prevented at all on the afternoon in question and suggested that State Secretary Frank look at the film together with Min. conductor Dr. Hippler. I rejected this by saying that I was well aware that State Secretary Frank wanted to see the film only in the presence of Secretary Gutterer.
