Translation. 90 P r o t. o K o 1 - - 2 - taken on l4.XI.l939 at the Chancellery of the electric tramways of the capital Prague /D 19/. the statement of Mr. Franz M a k o v i č k a, merchant, resident in Stodůlky, Vidoule No.344, about the accident, resp. Injury to the wife of Gischitzky, whom she suffered on September 7th l939 when driving the electric tram train in the direction to Koschiř, on line 9 near the stop "Divišgasse" on Smichov. Present: for the Ministry of Transport : Ing.Friedrich Kreibich, sparkling wine council, for the electr. trams d.H.Prague: Ings.Jos.Pithardt, Techn.Rat. The above witness said the following about the accident: I drove from the stop "Brückel" in the relevant motor car, and sat on the right side in the direction of the car, casually in the middle. The car was normally occupied. The car approached quite normally from the station "Pilsnerstrasse" to the stop "Divišgasse", into which it entered at the normal speed, flowing and decidedly without any interruption and without any jerk. When the train was already in the process of stopping, there were calls for help from the outside, whereupon the driver immediately and indirectly stopped the train, whereby, as I could see, the front platform of the motor car was one to two meters from the front platforms lamp. After stopping, I saw from my seat that at the front platform apparently a woman was released from the lower part of the car, at the light of the hand lamps. On the further ride from the engine train, passengers were told that the woman who had suffered the accident had rejected the police investigation and wanted to be transported home. It was generally surprising that such an old lady, who was unable to move, was not accompanied by anyone with regard to the darkness. 88000
