55a - 2 - can eat bread, but still working from early in the morning until the sinking evening in the field to contribute his part to the production battle. I do everything for our leader. Now I come to the heart of my business. Since 6o years the community hunt in Branowitz was in the hands of my family. In 1936 it was taken from us by the Czechs and beaten to the state forest office Seelovice. Now we German farmers had hoped that after the invasion in 1939 the hunt for our land would be released again. The Reichsdeutsche Oberforstmeister Weber, acting head of the state forestry office Seelowitz, did not think about it at all. He explained that the community hunts as representative hunts remained with the Porstamt. Mr. State Secretary, why is this necessary? If the Herr Reichsprotector or other leading figures really want to hunt on our ground, then this will be an honor for us German farmers. So far, only one time has been the Herr Imperial Protector in Branowitz for hunting. The state hunting district is so large that there is absolutely no need for the inclusion of the community hunts. In these years the lease for the Branowitz hunting for the forest office Seelowitz had expired and been re-written. At my request the hunt was unanimously attributed to me by the hunting director. Now we German farmers thought it had been all right. Only the approval of the lower hunting authority was missing. This approval was refused at the instigation of the forest office Seelovice, and I can say quite quietly, by Oberforest master Weber. But since the refusal of any legal basis was lacking, the Oberste Jagdbehörde intervened over other higher places and declared the whole area of the forest office Seelowitz as a nature reserve. Now, of course, the Forst amt Seeloitz alone is entitled to the lease of the communal hunting districts of the surrounding municipalities. In order to shut the mouth of German farmers, the Forstamt Seelowitz will take care of the cooperative hunt in Pribitz in 61334.
