82 DivisionI. Prague, December 1942. No. I 3 b- 3246. Subject: Declaration of the German ethnicity of Robert Lerche, bookseller in Prague. While special political merits were initially accepted and Lerche was recognized as a German national, it was later found that Lerch was not involved with special victims before l.lo.1938. The racial examination showed that lerche is illustratively intolerable. For this reason, the Oberlandrat in Prague revoked the finding of the German ethnicity of Lerches. Lerche opposed this decision with an application of 3l.8 l942. He pointed out that he had acquired special merits for the German case as a German bookseller, while he had distributed German books, which were partly forbidden, here. In this respect, the applicant has submitted the certificates of the former district head Höss and other persons. However, these merits do not correspond to a commitment among special victims, as specified in the circular of 7.5.1994l, No. I 3 b-28lo. 2 Ministerial Counsellor Dr. He then asked whether the Secretary of State considered that the recognition of German nationality was appropriate from his own knowledge.
