To my letter of 31 August 1939 I remained unresponsive until the hour. However, I would like you to tell me immediately what the Slovak government has done to the Czech authorities in the relevant Prague. Today I am addressing you in another question, which is of considerable political importance. It is the influence of Legiobank in Slovakia. Unfortunately, the question has not yet been resolved whether the "National Union of Legionires" is the legal entity of Legiobank and whether the dissolution of the association between them has also had repercussions on Legio Bank. I would, however, welcome the fact that you would look at the issues dealt with in the annexed proceedings and find out whether and, where appropriate, in which direction the material could be supplemented and which position the Slovak Government will take in advance, if the dissolution of the agreement also extends to Legiobank - and thus also to its branches in Slovakia.
