16 Copy The Commissioner for the four-year plan Berlin, SW 1l, 24.10.1942. The General Representative Saarlandetr.96. for the employment mission Va 5231/58 To the gentlemen Presidents of the Landesarbeitsamte incl. branch Nuremberg (3 times with 1 side print each for the AA) Subject: Requirements for the press. After the Va 522l/2 circular of 12 June 1942, the presidents of the state employment offices of 15 July 1942 - Va 5552/288 - were ordered that publishing and printing works, which are active for daily and weekly newspapers as well as other press products designated by the president of the Reichspressekammer as important for the war, should no longer be withdrawn. In addition, if necessary, the employees required by these enterprises should be obliged to do so, insofar as the requirement is met by the President of the Reichspressekammer. According to an order of the OKW of July 1 942, the work of experts in all questions of the UK position in favour of the press is now only the responsibility of the Reichspressekammer as the competent specialized organization for the press enterprises. In future, therefore, I would ask the press to take part in the examination of the forces of the press only the representatives of the Reichspressekammer who, according to the agricultural offices, are shown separately from the list.
