15 OF THE NEW DAY RELATING BOHMISCH-MAHRISH VERLAGING AND PRINTING SOCIETY M. B.H. t PRAG II, 6 January 1943. Herrengasse 8 La/W Fernruf 24141-48 Süto des S aarsfakretles Herrn bela Reichsproleh e Ministerialrat Dr. Robert Gies la Böhmen und Mähzen. Prague IV. Eing: -8.JAN. 1943 Czernin-Palais. Subject: Service obligations Dear Party comrade Dr. Gies ! With reference to our last discussion, in which I made you aware of the negative attitude of the Labour Office of Prague in requests for exemption from the duty of czech mecrrraite, I ask you to let the Labour Bureau of Prague accept our requests in this regard, which are made each through the Landesverband in the Reichsverband der deutschen Zeitungsveröffentlicher as the commissioned post of the President of the Reich's Press Chamber. Pür die Reichgebiete was issued a relevant decree by the General Plenipotentiary for the work assignment, which I will bring to you in the accompanying copy. Since this decree is not valid in Bohemia and Moravia, I allow myself to make the proposal an equal regulation for the protection of the use of forces for the German newspapers and magazines. In order to avoid any unnecessary hardships in the future, I would be obliged to give an order to the employment offices that workers from warehouses and printing plants working for German newspapers and temporary publications can only be required to work in the Reichsverband der deutschen Zeitungsveröffentlicher in agreement with the Landesverband Böhmen und Mähren. In particular, I would be very close to you for an instruction to the Prague Employment Office, which is responsible for the l3.ds. pronounced obligation of service of our scribe Karl V a č k a ř , born on 11.8.19l8, residing in Prague XI., Jarau 177, to re-establish, since the messenger service in our written guidance requires accurate knowledge of the place and person in order to ensure the minute course of the work in the written guidance. Vačkař is also active in his spare time at the German News Office and enjoys good confidence with Mr. Head of the Department of Public Relations. Despite the fact that he is a member of St. S.
