Printed by Det Deuteter des Hustücäigen Amt 10 at the Reidhsprotehtor in Bohemia and Moravia Prague, August 9, 1940. No. 9146/D.Pol.3.No.7 Secret Reichsssache Content:(Graf Coudenhove - Party matter. With reference to an earlier correspondence. 2 Drucke Der Reichsbegriff/Graf C o u d e n h o v e- K a l e r g i , who, apart from his other important functions, also serves as secretary of the Japanese Consulate General in Prague, had announced his entry into the NSDAP some time ago. The request is likely to be submitted to the Reichs Treasurer. A completion seems not to have been successful so far. The Office of the Reich Protector, and in particular the SS group leader, Secretary of State K. H. Frank, is in favour of the application of Count Coudenhove. After acknowledging the applicant's personality, I may join in this support, bearing in mind the fact that a rejection could provoke a mood on the Japanese side. Of course, this weight should be attached if the acceptance of which the son of a Japanese woman of race has to be rejected, even if there are no other concerns. If the Federal Foreign Office is inclined because of a political impact, then I am entitled to arrange for an agreement to be reached. Ziemke
