L .ORRECTORDER GERMAN TECHNICAL HIGHER EDUCATION INPRAG 11 August 1942. PRAG I, at MOZARTPLATZ 2 Büco of the State Secretary at the Reichsprotector in Bohemia uno Moravia. Mr. Eing.: 13,AUG.1942 Oberregierungsrat SS-Obersturmbannführer Dr. Gie s PIBS 2/n P.735/netreffen: Professor Dr. Karl S e d l m e f e r Letter from Mr. Leppa Budweis, dated 5.5.1942 The case of Sedlmeyer was examined in detail by the Faculty of Natural Sciences. The following results were found: Professor Sedllmeyer was at that time an assistant to the Department of Geography at the German Karls University and is currently a professor at the University. In 1941, he had a serious conflict with the professor of geography at the university, Professor Dr. Spreitzer. In a court of honour before the NSp lecturer's association Gau Sudeten- land, Professor Sedlmeyer was given a strict reference with the threat of exclusion from the NsD-doctor's federation. The most important reason for this was a letter sent by Sedlmeyer to the geographer Frofessor Metz in Freiburg, with heavy honor - touching attacks against the Ferson of the Frofessor Spreitzer. These allegations proved to be incorrect, so that they represented a deliberate slander. The Fechnische Hochschule will soon have to fill a new chair for business geography. Since the study of economics is conducted together with the university, it is not possible to avoid that the economic geographer has to work with the geographer of the university. The Faculty of Natural Sciences of the German Technical University therefore considers it impossible for a St.S.\2-144 b/44 00 117 after the aforementioned collision between Frofessor Sedlmeyer and Irofessor Spreitzer
