THE HIGHER 44 AND POLICE FUHRER Prague, 13 October 1943. AT THE REICHER PROTECTOR IN BÖHMEN AND MÄHREN BURGSTADT - RUF: 640-41 CONTRACTS OF THE REECTOR'S COMMISSAR A Adelsstift für THE DETERMINATION OF GERMAN VOLKSTUMS P/Dö. 308/43 2EM 1 B. Nr. 1 8. X.1942 To the German Minister of State for Bohemia and Moravia Head of Department I, Prague. Betr.: Children from mixed marriages in Czech schools possible "transition" into the German Volks- und Hauptschulen. Reference: Letter from the Inspector General of the Administration dated 19.8.1943. The Department of School Administration recently issued the new decree on the admission of Czech children to German schools. In addition to this decree, a supplemental decree now appears that the admission of Czech children to German elementary schools should be generously administered. In no case should Czech children who have been admitted to German primary schools be released from this school for racial reasons. The aim is to ensure that as many children as possible attend the German primary school, even if they are not capable of German-speaking, because the broad impact of the German language is absolutely necessary for our future measures. I will issue a corresponding instruction to my department once the school administration's supplementary leave has been issued, in which this aspect is once again clearly highlighted. The stop requested by the Minister of State for the acquisition of children of Czech nationals from mined marriages refers to the application of the decree on the compulsory registration of German-born women and their children from another country. This question has now also been clarified by the re-regulation of the treatment of cases of nationality. I believe that the whole of the complex is so clear that difficulties can no longer arise.
